AC/DC Shares Original HIGHWAY TO HELL Album Cover Rejected by Record Label

After a nearly two-year hiatus AC/DC has resumed social media activity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Highway to Hell (their final recording with Bon Scott).

AC/DC struggled getting record label support in America. It took a tour of the states to persuade Atlantic Records dedicate some of their resources. Apparently, they rejected an early draft of the Highway to Hell album artwork too. The band shared the initial Highway artwork on Instagram over the weekend with the caption, noting that it was “The original ‘Highway To Hell’ cover was “shot down in flames” by the American record company… ⚡️⚡️⚡️???”.

Either way – Highway to Hell made AC/DC in the States and eventually sold more than 7 million copies. Check out the artwork via Instagram below.
