We’ve seen DUI idiots try to switch seats with a passenger before. But this is a whole new level of dumb-and-desperate . . .
41-year-old David Brihn was responsible for TWO hit-and-run crashes in Santa Ana, California on Wednesday that left four people seriously injured.
He crashed into one car. Then he started chasing someone who witnessed it, and caused an even WORSE crash that involved two other cars and a guy on a bike. Luckily, no one was killed.
Then after the second crash, David ran into a nearby ice cream distributor . . . grabbed a random employee named Ignacio Morales . . . FORCED him outside as the cops were arriving . . . and tried to claim Ignacio was the one driving.
He literally said, “Here, I caught the driver of that car for you.” But there were multiple witnesses, so it didn’t work.
Turns out David was on drugs, so they booked him for driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and felony hit-and-run.
And now he’ll also be facing KIDNAPPING charges for yanking Ignacio outside so he could blame him for it.
(Here’s his mugshot.)
